Tone and Strengthen Key Muscles While Just Wearing Clothing
If you haven’t exercised for a long time just the thought of it makes you want to sit down. Well here is a great way to tone and strengthen without effort.

Baby Boomers Fitness – Time To Get Moving Again
Well I am exactly one month away from turning 60 – YIKES!! This sure has made me think about my overall health and well being.
I exercised all my young life. When I went to university I taught exercise classes, part-time, to make some money. I exercised religiously as the years went on, though I was more into power walking in my 30′s than sit ups and took up Tai Chi as well. Then I started my own business 7 years ago, a web design company, and, yes, I sit at the computer all day. Exercise, not so much.
This morning I started thinking about my lack of exercise. I have been noticing I have less energy, more aches, weird feelings in my legs, etc. So I thought it was time I get back into exercising. This made me think how I should start back into it, which made me think that I should share with you the levels us Baby Boomers should look at when we start to work out. Please note, these are only my suggestions. You should always consult a doctor first.
First Level Suggestion
If you have been inactive for a long period of time, like years, you may want to start out with just stretching. One of the best practise to start with, in my opinion, is Qigong and Tai Chi. Years ago I did both Qigong and Tai Chi. I loved how it made me feel both mentally and physically.
Today I went looking for the book I have and I was thrilled to find this book at Amazon. My book is from 1984. It is wonderful.
In this book covers Tai Chi at the front of the book and Qigong at the back. I so highly recommed it.
If reading a book is not as good as watching then the process then try this:
Have a look under the menu Qigong Healing or the Products menu. I have not personally used these products, but I believe in the practice and feel it will help Boomers who have led a sedentary lifestyle.

Qigong Breathing and Movement Techniques for Health and Balance
As a Baby Boomer I am becoming more and more aware how important it is to stay active for health and for balance.
When I was younger I exercised many hours a day and walked for miles. I practiced Tai Chi and Qigong. But as time went on, and life got in the way, my exercising became less and less. At the start of the New Year I decided it was time to get active again (the idea of falling really got me motivated). So in the morning, in my livingroom, I started doing some stretches and leg work. Sort of like walk on the spot but adding arm work with it. Then I started raising my knees up, one at a time, and then lifting my leg back to touch my ‘butt’ while moving my arms. As I moved my arms the feeling of Tai Chi and Qigong work that I had done years past came flooding back. I started to pay attention to that feeling and it was wonderful.
